I like to travel the world. I’m an explorer by nature. But most days, life has me in a rural African village with my American wife (who grew up in Brazil) and my 4 great kids.

My work in physical & spiritual community development led me to sub saharan Africa where we’ve been since 2003. I love to hang out with folks in the village, bike all over the place, and shoot documentary photos & videos. On the side, I’m also working on setting up a rural library for the small town we live in. This will be the 4th of such libraries I’ve assisted with.

Many of my favorite photos naturally stem from my experiences in Malawi and Mozambique. But there’s a good dose of Americana here as well. Enjoy!

My equipment for most images:
-Nikon D50/D90
-Adobe Lightroom 2.0
